The Beta 91A has been optimized for bass drums as well as for low-frequency instruments such as the piano. The Beta 91A is a condenser microphone with a hemi-cardioid pickup pattern and an integrated XLR preamplifier that has been designed for use with bass-rich instruments. In addition, it has a switchable correction filter suitable for use in a bass drum.
