AKG C414 B ULS Condenser Microphone

Classic large-diaphragm reference microphone; selectable polar patterns: cardioid, hypercardioid, omnidirectional or figure-of-eight; two-stage pre-attenuation buffer and low-cut filter; high SPL capability - up to 160 dB SPL. The C414 B-ULS is THE reference microphone for almost all comparative microphone tests and one of the most widely used condenser microphones in the world. It is the microphone of choice for recording vocals, grand pianos, percussion and any other sound source with complex waveforms. A dual 1-inch gold-sintered diaphragm and Ultra Linear Series electronics combine to provide an extremely smooth frequency response. Four selectable polar patterns allow the microphone to be used for all recording techniques, and two low-cut filters suppress low frequency noise.

The extremely low self-noise and the high safety margin result in a dynamic range of 126 dB, which is wider than that of digital recording equipment. Switchable 10 and 20 dB pre-attenuation buffers allow you to record instruments with sound pressure levels exceeding 150 dB SPL at less than 0.5% THD. Complete with spider-type suspension, windscreen and individual frequency response printout.
