Omnison is seeking a dynamic and committed individual to fill the position of Video Technician
Job Description
Reporting to the Technical Director, and under the supervision of the Video Manager, this position will be required to work in various locations.
General Responsibilities
- Ensure that video equipment is properly set up and complies with the show concept;
- Participate in the set up and tear down of video equipment and technical equipment related to the show;
- Replace other technicians in various capacities during performances as needed;
- Participate in the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and modification of video equipment;
- Supervise the training of local technicians as needed;
- Comply with video equipment safety standards and regulations and apply safe work practices.
Required Qualifications
- Schooling: Have an ACS or DEC in a relevant field of audio-visual;
- Minimum of three years of relevant work experience;
- Knowledge in networking and electricity;
- Good general understanding of all technical aspects of a show, an asset;
- Having a forklift and/or aerial work platform license and training in working at heights, an asset;
- Knowledge of specialized technical software, an asset;
