Omnison is seeking a dynamic and committed individual to fill the position of Video Manager
Job Description
Reporting to the Technical Director, the Video Manager acts as the primary resource in his/her field of specialization to implement the final technical video specification. He/she also participates in the set-up and tear-down of equipment. The video manager is responsible for all aspects of image projection during a show.
This position will be required to work in a variety of venues.
General Responsibilities
- Prepare and plan technical setups in collaboration with coordination;
- Ensure the availability, inventory and good working order of equipment;
- Assess video and projection needs, make connections and operate technical equipment during certain shows or special events;
- Organize and supervise the work of the technical staff under his/her responsibility and ensure that it is performed according to the quality, safety and efficiency standards established in the industry;
- Actively participate in the set-up and tear-down of events;
- Analyze and propose concrete solutions to any technical problems related to his/her expertise;
- Program and operate video equipment as needed by the client or production;
- Evaluate personnel under his/her responsibility;
- Participate and collaborate in the needs, tasks of other technical departments;
- Perform any other related tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Schooling: degree in stage management and techniques or equivalent experience;
- Have at least three (3) years of experience as a stage technician.
